The success of the 4th Cairo International Biennale for Ceramics is a strong indicator to the increasing awareness on the key importance of such an international event. The 4th session of Cairo International Biennale further underlined the outstanding contributions of the Min istry of Culture's Fine Arts Sector to this particular field of art creativity. These colossal contributions were reached through the establishment of specialised museums, staging unique shows, opening well-equipped workshops and production centres, and encouraging talented artists and skilled artisans to demonstrate their works. We feel satisfied that the Cairo International Biennale for Ceramics has stood out among landmark efforts seeking to enrich the art movement in Egypt. This is because the Cairo International Biennale for Ceramics is a well conceived formula, through which talented experiments, and visions can be demonstrated and employed in a suitable atmosphere to express the development of ceramic art throughout history in different communities. The Cairo International Biennale for Ceramics is also an influential cultural mechanism sowing the seeds of fruitful and positive dialogue among artists, thinkers and intellectuals worldwide to formulate visions both in thought and action.
